Built in overload protection is provided to 600A continuous/600V, meeting UL and TUV certification standards, and both meters have been tested to meet the IEC 61010-1 Cat III 600V safety standard. If you test circuits with non-linear loads such as computers or adjustable speed drives, you need a True-rms meter. The Model 32 measures true-rms ac current to 400A with a crest factor of 3, and 600A with a crest factor of 2.
